A Quiet Appreciation of Something Small (2019)

Concerned with process, engagement with the environment, and collaborative learning - this project involved composing, arranging, and recording a series of melodies inspired by British folklore that were performed and improvised upon by a changing group of musicians. I developed several recipes and catered for all participants, fermenting alcoholic beverages. The work also included teaching a group of people to refine, prepare, mould and pit fire naturally occurring clay, making photographic collages, writing a small set of poems, and preparing the flat I lived in for the culminating installation that displayed any artefacts produced during these processes.
